What is HPL
High Pressure Laminates (HPL) are nothing but paper reinforced with resins which bonds and strengthens them.
Numerous layer of paper saturated with resins are bonded together under heat and high pressure for 40-50 minutes to from a solid uniform material.
The resulted product is physically and chemically different from its raw material and is stable, non reactive, homogenous, non porous, high density product.
Product Composition
About 70% paper and 30% resins and chemicals
Overlay: a transparent paper used to make the top surface of the laminate resistant to scratches, abrasion and protecting the colour of décor paper.
Decor Paper: there printed paper gives the style to the laminate.
Kraft paper: this paper forms the core of the laminate.
